    President Bola Tinubu Arrives in Abu Dhabi for 2026 Sustainability Week

    President Bola Tinubu arrived in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on Sunday night for the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), which begins Monday.

    His aircraft landed at the Presidential Wing of Zayed International Airport at 11:30 p.m. local time, according to Presidential Spokesperson Bayo Onanuga.

    Tinubu was welcomed at the airport by Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and UAE Ambassador to Nigeria Salem Saeed Al-Shamsi, alongside Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, and other members of the Nigerian diplomatic mission.

    At his hotel, several Nigerian officials received the president, including Minister of Budget and Planning Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Dr Jumoke Oduwole, and Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency Amb. Mohammed Mohammed.

    President Tinubu arrived from Europe, where he held consultations with Rwandan President Paul Kagame and French President Emmanuel Macron.

    The 2026 ADSW, themed “The Nexus of Next, All Systems Go,” focuses on sustainable development, climate action, energy transition, and inclusive growth.

    Tinubu’s visit highlights Nigeria’s commitment to global sustainability discussions and aims to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations with the UAE.

    President Bola Ahmed Tinubu currently on a visit to Anambra State, commissions Emeka Anyaoku Institute of International Studies and Diplomacy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

    The Nigerian Anchor reports that the President will also be commissioning an entertainment complex called the Solution Funcity, which features the Anambra Country Club, a Family Fun House, a Water Park, and an Amusement Park in Anambra State.

    Tinubu Celebrates Minister’s New Traditional Title

    President Bola Tinubu has celebrated the Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Tanko Yusuf Sununu, on receiving the traditional title Danmadin Yauri.

     The title was bestowed by the Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammed Zayyanu Abdullahi, in Kebbi State.  

    Acknowledging the honor, President Tinubu noted the recognition as a reflection of Dr. Sununu’s role within the federal cabinet and his contributions to improving humanitarian efforts across the nation.  

    Dr. Sununu, previously a member of the House of Representatives for Yauri, is also an experienced obstetrician and gynecologist. 

    The President expressed confidence that this honor will motivate him to further his efforts in public service.  

    The turbaning ceremony, set for December 28, is expected to bring together family, friends, and supporters to mark the occasion. 

    President Tinubu extended his best wishes to all participants for a joyful event.

    The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Imanue EasyKlean Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Adagboyi received the plaque on behalf of his company.

    He expressed appreciation for the award and said that it was a duty call, saying, “the reward for hard work is more work,” with the promise that the recognition encourages them to do better.
