    Tinubu Appoints Imam, Agbasi As Chairman, MD Of FERMA

    President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of the Governing Board and Management of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

    A statement by Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale said this was for a renewable term of four years, in accordance with Section 2(3) of the FERMA Amendment Act, 2007

    The board members are:

    Chairman of FERMA Board — Engr. Imam Ibrahim Kashim Imam

    Managing Director of FERMA — Engr. Chukwuemeka Agbasi

    Member (NARTO) — Yusuf Lawal Othman

    Member (FMW) — Engr. Ibi Terna Manasseh

    Member (FRSC) — ACM Shehu Mohammed

    Member (Finance) — Babatunde Daramola-Oniru

    Member (South-South) — Hon. Preye Oseke

    Member (South-West) — Hon. Oye Ojobe

    Member (South-East) — Dr Kenneth Ugbala

    Member (North-Central) — Sen. Timothy Adudu

    Member (North-East) — Engr. Abubakar Bappa

    Member (North-West) — Aminu Adamu Papa

    The president urged the new appointees to continue to uphold effective and efficient service delivery in the agency.

    He said that the agency was set to play a central role in the sustainable health of growth-enabling infrastructure nationwide.

    Wike Sacks Heads Of FCTA Parastatals, Agencies

    The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has taken the decision to dismiss the heads of various parastatals, agencies, and companies operating under the FCT administration (FCTA).

    This significant move was announced by Anthony Ogunleye, the Director of Press in the Minister’s office, through an official statement released on Wednesday.

    “The minister’s directive to relieve these officials of their positions is effective immediately, and new appointments to these offices will be made in due course.

    “As part of the transition process, all affected officials have been instructed to facilitate the smooth handover of their duties to the most senior officers in terms of rank,” the statement said.

    Below is a list of the entities and individuals affected by this decision:

  • Yahaya Bello Sacks Special Adviser, Anthony Ogah

    Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi on Monday announced the sack of his Special Adviser (SA) on Stakeholders Relations, Mr Anthony Ogah.

    The sack is contained in a statement issued in Lokoja by Mrs Folashade Arike-Ayoade, Secretary to the Government of Kogi.

    The government said that the sack takes effect from Sunday.

    ”Gov. Bello has issued a directive for the immediate dismissal of Ogah, who served as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Stakeholders Relations.

    “The termination of Ogah as the special adviser to the governor is effective from September 24.

    “Governor Bello extends his best wishes to Ogah in his future endeavours,” the state government said.

    No reason was given for Ogah’s dismissal. He was instructed to “promptly hand over his identity card and any other government property or documents in his possession to the Permanent Secretary, Administration, in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the state.”
